Icelandic Rovings For Sale

The rovings offered for sale here are from raw Icelandic Spring fleeces, that have been heavily skirted to remove belly wool and vegetative matter, thoroughly washed and then blended and carded into spinners roving. Sheep pictures were taken in the Fall when they were wearing their best coats. Icelandic wool contains two types of fiber: the thel or undercoat that is very fine with lots of crimp, and the tog that has a longer staple (3-6" in the Spring), is less fine, and has lots of natural curl. The thel and tog have been combined in these rovings. If you wish to purchase some of these quality rovings, please order on-line via PayPal, or email us at danelson37@gmail.com. Shipping charges within the United States will be added to your purchase price. For shipping outside the United States please email us for an estimate, or purchase the fleeces on Paypal and we will bill you for any additinal shipping charges before we send the order. PayPal, Credit Cards (via paypal), or Personal Checks are accepted as payment. These rovings are priced according to the weights after processing; the shipped weight may be 5-6% less due to moisture loss.

Colors: The exact shades of colors seen here may vary slightly, depending upon the monitor you are displaying them on. In particular, black is very difficult to photograph and reproduce on a computer monitor - a black roving may appear to have a brown tint to it, but in actuality is very black.
Weights: The rovingss are priced according to the weights at processing; the shipped weight may be 5-6% less due to moisture loss during storage.

Testimonials

"The roving you sent from Grima and Eydis came about three weeks ago and both are absolutely gorgeous! You were right - the processing is some of the best I have seen, immaculate and flawless."
