After teaching for 40 years (grades 3-12, the last 16 teaching high school physics and photography), I retired in the Spring of last year. My retirement got off to a rough start, with a heart attack and consequent open heart surgery, but thanks to my wife of 15 years, Jeri, and modern medicine, my recovery has gone fine. We plan to be back on the ski slopes next winter.

We have four daughters between us, with ten grandchildren, so we have a lot of ski instruction ahead of us. My two daughters and their families live on the East Coast and Jeri's two daughters and their families live here in California.

At retirement, I had planned to set-up a wet-lab and do some serious photography, but pretty much everything I wanted to do can be done on the computer, so I'm attempting to become a Photoshop nerd. Basically, I've been scanning my slides into the computer and making digital enlargements. Once I've matted and framed them my "promoter", Jeri, takes over. Since she is in Real Estate, most of my new work is hanging in R.E. offices at this point.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you and would like to thank the committee for their hard work, especially Lee Hart for great communications and Dave Nelson for a super web-site.
