Hi to everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the reunion this August!

Marcella and I have been enjoying life. We now have five grand children who are a real joy. We enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Hawaii, Iowa and Arizona in 1999. We're hoping for a mid-west trip in May and June this year.

Since our last reunion, I've been part-time principal at Evergreen Elementary School in Silverton. I discovered my step-dad attended there in 1919. I enjoyed the school and "going home" to Silverton for four and a half years. I retired from Evergreen when they joined the Silver Falls District. I've also continued house painting over the years. I'm planning to make this my last year of painting, so I'll be fully retired this Fall. Speaking of Fall, I've enjoyed spending several weeks each fall hunting for deer and elk.

I've been active in our Stayton Kiwanis Club and the Methodist Church. I've also been active on the Silverton High School Alumni Committee, and I would urge everyone to join and help provide scholarships. I would also urge you to come early for our reunion and attend the all class SHS Get Together on Friday night, Aug.4, 2000, at the Oregon Gardens.
