We were married August 21, 1955 in Silverton. We have lived here ever since (except for 3 months in Portland). We have lived in the same neighborhood for the past 40 years. David worked at Silverton Upholstery and Stiff's Furniture for several years. In 1967 he started with Wilco Farmers and retired in 1998 after 31 years. David retired in 1993 after 30 years as a volunteer with the local fire department. He now works part time for Ungers Funeral Home.

Marge worked for the State until their children were born, and then stayed home until 1965, when she went to work for the Silverton School District as a cook and retired in 1995 after 30 years.

We have 3 children, Kay and Scott live in Salem and John lives in Amity. We have 9 grandchildren ranging from 19 to 10. With them so close we can enjoy their sports events, choir and band programs, dance team competitions, and church activities.

In our retirement, we are both active in the Methodist Church, and enjoy RV traveling with the church group and on our own. David volunteers with the local food bank. We enjoyed our time in Arizona last winter and we hope to go down again this winter.
