FOX'55 45-yr Class Reunion Dinner

Lee Hart at the Computer:

To prepare for this event, Lee Hart spent numerous hours organizing. Here he is programming the songs to be played during the dinner and the dance.

Yes, your Fox55 colleagues are computerized.

Table setting:

The re-union organizing committee (David Gentry, Ila May (Moore) Elder, and Lee Hart) showed good taste in selecting the Wittenberg Inn.

The table settings were elegant, but Fox55 classmates set the tone for a relaxed atmosphere with their more casual dress.

Springers and Baum:

Twila (Gillis) and Bruce Springer with our 1955 Principal Milt Baum.

Surprisingly, Milt looks no older than the rest of us.

I'll Drink to That:

Callie (Jacobsen) Picket, Earlene (Ross) Ertelt, Ila May (Moore) Elder, and Dessie (Nelson) Tegland.

Lot's of beauty and character in these faces.

Coach Anderson:

1955 Coach Murl Anderson. Boys' P.E., Health, Track, Football, Orangemen.

I learned at the dinner that Murl went on to become Principal and Superintendant after we left.

Personally, I think grey hair is definitely "in".

The Naegelis:

Richard Naegeli and his wife Perk

A career as a fire fighter sure keeps one looking young.

Buddies still!

Dick Johnson and Dick Naegeli.

Both of these guys reminded me of all the trouble we got into back then.

Bill Iron:

Mr. William Z. Iron.
1955 teacher: English, Seminar, Speech, Thespians, Drama, Annual.

Even at may age, I hope he won't find any grammatical errors.

Van Cleave/Yeatman:

Mary Beth Van Cleave and Susan (Yeatman) May

It's great to have a 1955 classmate as a best friend.

Beals:

Sharon (Beals) Van Loan

Clites/Wolf/Steinberger:

Raggie Clites, Agnes (Wolf) Wasteny, Arlys (Steinberger) Zauner, and Phil Clites

Mr. Philip Clites: 1955 teacher, Photo Club, Triple "S", Advanced Algebra, Trigonometry, Algebra, Physics, Chemistry.

Great Food:

Dick and Jane Johnson

Again, the organizing committee made good choices. The food was great and plentiful!

Wells/Cates:

Sharon (Wells) and Jim Cates agree.

Barthold:

Dan Barthold and his fiance.

The word was out that Dan will marry again in September.

After Dinner:

Ila May (Moore) Elder, Jack Tegland, and Dessie (Nelson) Tegland.

The wine glasses remind me how remarkable it was that everyone was sober at this re-union. Wisdom comes at 60!

Kasers:

Ray Kaser and Loretta (Toft) Kaser [Fox'56].

Ray still prowls the halls of SUHS, but as a science teacher now.

Master of Ceremonies:

Lee Hart, Peggy (Monson) Mattox, and Tamara Hart (Lee's daughter)

Lee acted as master of ceremonies, and embarrassed some of us by requesting extemporaneous comments. Of course Dick Johnson had no trouble with that.

Dinner and Dancing:

Arly (Steinberger) Zauner with Wayne Westing, and Tamara Hart with Lee Hart

Some of our classmates feel younger than others.

Ross/Smith:

Annet (Smith) Ross [Fox'57] and Jerry Ross

It appears that Jerry is still a smooth dancer.

Three Trumpeters:

Dave Nelson, Dan Barthold, and Ron Jorgenson

Do you remember the 3 trumpeters?
Only two of them can still blow tolerable sounds from their trumpets.
Behind them is one of David Walker's carousel horses.
